The Sony Reader Touch Edition was the high end Sony eReader upon its release. Priced at $300, the device distinguishes itself from the competition with its touch screen. Providing users with a new way to use their Sony eReader, the Reader Touch Edition is the only ebook reader with a touch screen interface.
The Sony Reader touch comes with 512MB of internal memory, 380MB of which are usable by the user. However, this Sony eReader also comes with expandable memory support, working with Sony Memory Stick Pro Duos and SDHC cards. This Sony eReader is slightly larger than the Pocket Edition, with the Sony Reader Touch Edition coming in at 6 inches.
Overall, the Sony Reader Touch Edition, priced at $300 is reasonably comparable to the Amazon Kindle 2.
